KARATE EVERY TUESDAY 

Karate classes are conducted every TUESDAY, with exception of 1⁄2 school days, holidays, and “school closed” inclement weather days.
Shorin-ryu karate is an exciting and powerful martial art known for its centuries old traditional defensive fighting techniques and philosophy. Although our martial art system is dated as far back as antiquity, we are consistently evolving to keep pace with the rapidly changing world. We realize that each student possesses different physical and mental abilities. Once the student acquires a firm basis of fundamentals, our program will improve their capabilities thereby enhancing important self-defense skills. Students are instructed to understand exactly what it takes mentally and physically to defend one’s self only when necessary. Our goal is not to scare anyone of the dangers of society but rather teach kids the importance of common sense, self-confidence and self-esteem so they can be aware of potential dangers while being confident but careful in order to enjoy life absent of fear or paranoia.

In this class, instructor Mr. Enahora will focus on traditional and conventional martial arts based on Okinawan Karate, Chinese Kung Fu and Jujitsu. Classes will consist of warm-up exercises, strength building activities promoting agility, mental strategies, balance, coordination, listening and concentration skills as well as games to make training fun.

This is because students possessing their own sparring gear participate 2-3 times more in sparring. Our experience strongly indicates that students who participate more in sparring become more successful in sparring, therefore, the greater the participation, the greater the success!

A one-time new member fee of $60 is required for all new

students to cover cost of the Gi (uniform - jacket, pants, t-shirt and belt). As well as equipment usage.
IF YOUR CHILD IS SPARRING

All students must bring to class a personal mouth protector.

Also, boys are required to bring a cup. We encourage parents to purchase personal sparring gear

for their child.
